Bruised Summer Zine

This A5 60-page zine is the culmination of two and half years of work. With themes of rural childhood, queer boyhood, grief, loneliness, nostalgia, obsession, addiction and longing, Bruised Summer is made up of collected poetry, flash fiction, diary entries, novel excerpts and exclusive deleted scenes that will be found nowhere else, as well as 24 brand new pieces of hand cut, hand distressed collage art. Printed on high quality recycled matte paper, this zine will be limited to 50 copies within the UK and Europe.

"Once started, only a fifteen minute read into Daniel Sheen's stunning novella (I can't call this a zine), I had no option but to shuffle back to the opening page and start again. After the first twenty six pages, same again please. Rewind. Restart. Like playing one side of an album, needle eroding the vinyl thin. I just didn't want that vibe of so many jigsaw pieces to fizzle. Revisiting the pages just hammered in the nails a little deeper. Bruised Summer is one wet dream of a masterpiece."
